Image converter
Convert JPG, PNG and WebP images in batches without uploading your files.
Full capability guide
Predictable format conversion
Conversion pages enforce their advertised formats and explain every change made to the output.
Format-aware controls
Quality appears only for lossy JPEG and WebP output; PNG uses lossless encoding.
Transparency and sizing
Choose the JPEG background color, limit maximum width and prevent smaller images from being enlarged.
Naming and duplicates
Build names with {name}, {format} and {index}; duplicate outputs can be numbered or reported as individual errors.
Per-file evidence
Review format, dimensions, metadata policy and visual comparison, then retry or reprocess one file with current controls.

How to convert an image
- Add one image or a batch of up to 20 files.
- Select PNG, JPEG or WebP as the output format.
- Set quality for JPEG or WebP, then download the result.
What changes during conversion
A format conversion creates a new file from decoded pixels. It does not edit the original, restore detail lost by earlier compression or automatically make every image smaller. Metadata is not copied to the output.
For a predictable result, use PNG when transparency or lossless graphics matter, JPEG for broadly compatible photographs, and WebP for efficient web delivery. For size reduction without changing the intended format, use the image compressor instead. To render ODT, ODS or ODP document pages, use the dedicated ODF to image converter.
Image format guide
| Format | Use it for | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| JPG | Photos, email and broad compatibility | No transparency |
| PNG | Graphics and transparent assets | Usually larger |
| WebP | Fast modern websites | Older software may not open it |
Conversion FAQ
Does conversion improve image quality?
No. Conversion changes the container and encoding, but cannot restore detail already lost in the source.
Can transparent PNG files become JPG?
Yes. JPEG does not support transparency, so transparent areas use the background color selected in the converter.
Can I convert a batch?
Yes. Multiple outputs are delivered in a single ZIP file.
Are original files modified?
No. AIPics creates new download files and leaves the originals untouched.
